Photo story

In 2003 Eo Ipso was called to the town of Stresa to witness the birth of a movement that, starting from nothing, in the arch of nine months became a civic list. At the elections this civic list obtained more that a quarter of the voter consensus; even though the election wasn’t won, this was a very flattering result nonetheless.

Stresa is a quiet town on the shores of Lake Maggiore, tied to deep-rooted values and survives thanks to its tourism industry. A classical small town, which didn’t have any form of digital communication, while at the same time, was sluggish enough to pass up all forms other than reading.

Therefore, to catch everyone’s attention on the subjects of this election campaign, Eo Ipso utilized an old way of reporting; using photostories, mixed with realistic images, recalling old media events and ideas, which were then wisely blended in a fast paced sketched storyboard.

The photostory hit its mark, even today everyone remembers it, and the “civic” candidate, despite having lost the elections, remained so happy with the work done by Eo Ipso that he became and remains one of our best friends.
